Coding Bootcamp - Learning Materials

Course Outcomes

Students that successfully complete this course will be able to do the following:

• Students will gain a basic understanding of web development while using tools such as Bootstrap and GitHub.
• Students will be able to use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to add interactivity and functionality to their websites.
• Students will be encouraged to think creatively and apply design thinking principles to their web projects.
• Students will learn how to leverage online resources and documentation to continue their web development education beyond the bootcamp.

Course Schedule

This bootcamp will consist of 5 days of instruction and learning. They will be broken up into the following:

• Day 1: Course Introduction & Application Setup
• Days 2-4: Developing amazing code for our applications
• Day 5: Finish Projects. Conclusion and Next Steps

Project Schedule

On the first day of the bootcamp, all students will set up their github and replit accounts, and get their project started in replit for them to work on it. The rest of the days will be spent working on the project, with the instructor available to help and answer questions. As a class, we will review many of the modules together and talk about them and how to incorporate them into our project. Each class session will also have plenty of time for students to work on their projects and receive assistance from the instructors.
